The ideal way to assess a certain movie nowadays is to conduct a survey which is a bit time and effort taking but can grade a movie to its actual value. Mostly the movies are graded best or dumb by means of the display at the box office. However, a fair and wide research brings out the actual results. Statement of best movies is not primarily for the points discussed earlier; in fact it is influenced by the trend of the time as well. Movies like Clash of the Titans, “date with an angel”, “God father”, “the forest Gump”, “the gladiator”, “the good the bad the ugly” or “walk like a man”, “superman”, “Spiderman” may be mentioned as all-time best but at the same time there would be so many of us who would rate these movies nowhere near the best.
There remains a consensus amongst many movie historians, critics, and the viewers that the movies once rated best are obviously a part of the most critically appreciated, significant, and must-see films of their times. These are the movies which leave endless and memorable imprints on us. They entertain, please, inform, and hit us subconsciously. Many of these best movies were made years ago and might have been neglected on first release but the time endured test verified them to be the best.
